About Me

I am an artist and musician living in Chatham County who has recently sought to capture North Carolina's natural beauty through expressive color and various impressionistic techniques in oil paint. Raised by a biology teacher and a naturalist, I've had a connection to the Piedmont from a young age, and began pursuing painting more seriously after graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in computer science. Inspired by the likes of van Gogh, Seurat, Signac, Monet, and Millet, I hope to express the emotions conjured by scenes in our backyard and that my paintings with evoke similar feelings in others.
